My Life

About Steve Arguelles

I come from Yuma, Arizona. Yuma was made somewhat famous by the movie 3:10 to Yuma. Don’t get me wrong it is not a small town or city at all. It currently has about 300,000 residents living there year round. When winter hits it population booms to about 500,000, mainly old people running from the cold. I grew up in a military family. So if you know anything about a military family you travel, allot. As a child

I moved from place to place relocating to a new city about every 3 to 4 years. I’ve lived in California, Arizona, Hawaii, Germany and now Connecticut. I guess this is where I developed my passion for serving my country. My father did 23 years in the Army; his last military post sent him to Abuja Nigeria. My brother just returned from his third tour in Iraq. The honor of serving our country flows powerfully within my family.

I spent allot of my childhood playing sports while growing up. I played baseball every since I can remember, it wasn’t till eight grade were I began to developed the love for the game, FOOTBALL. That is my passion, lining up against individuals who are usually bigger than I am and just taken it to them. I love the feeling of just hitting someone with all your strength, making plays, doing well. Many people in the world don’t really get to experience this feeling.

Family Life

I have two wonderful sisters Vanessa 18 and Clarissa 20. My youngest sister, Vanessa attends Arizona State University where she is studying Criminal Justice. Clarissa is currently a assistant Manger of a Holiday inn in Yuma, she really enjoys this allot. I have one older brother, Joseph( 25) who Just returned from his third tour in IRAQ, he is currently on leave but plans on joining the Yuma Police department very soon. Too my parents, I couldn’t ask for any better parents in the world, they come from Arizona almost 4 times a year sometimes 3 times in one month just to watch me play. I can’t think of anyone else on my team whose parent do that, their great, I thank God every day for them.

That’s about it; I leave you with one final quote,

“The greatest pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do”
